• The cross has become quite common in the West, but let's not forget that the real cross was not a sanitized, geometric shape but the means by which God brought sense to in insane world!

• The problem of evil and suffering would have some modicum of sense if it weren't for what happened on the cross to the only perfect person who lived on this earth.

• The primary mission of Jesus in taking on a human body in the Incarnation was to ultimately become the lamb of God who would take away the sins of His people by His atoning suffering and death on Calvary, whereby the wrath of His Father against our sins would be satisfied and the provision for His salvific grace could be applied to His adopted children. Charles Spurgeon rightly said the following about these sons and daughters of the most High God! "You stand before God as if you were Christ, because Christ stood before God as if he were you."

• It wasn't just Jesus who died on the cross on Calvary, but every true child of God who was also crucified as to their sinful nature!

• It wasn't just Jesus who came out of the tomb on Resurrection Sunday morning, but every but every true child of God, who came out of spiritual death with a new heart that the Holy Spirit now dwells in eternally!
